About the ride
Bartram Forest has three marked routes: a 5.5-mile green loop of smooth, machine-built singletrack, a 7.5-mile blue loop that mixes in some old-school hand-built trail, and a 10.3-mile red route that adds forest roads. Waypoint markers and a trailhead kiosk make it easy to find your way.
The terrain is mostly gentle, so this is a good place for newer riders and kids. If you want a challenge, a connector trail leads across the road to Selma Erwin Nature Preserve, where the trails get much more technical.
Bartram Forest is a Wildlife Management Area. Visitors need a Georgia DNR land use pass or a hunting or fishing license, and archery hunting happens here in season, so bright colors are a smart choice in the fall.
