Before your ride
- Every rider signs a waiver. The renter and every rider named on the booking must sign our rental waiver before riding. For a rider age 15 to 17, a parent or legal guardian signs for them. Read the waiver carefully. It explains your responsibilities while you have the bike.
- Wear a helmet. Every rider wears one on every ride. We include one with each bike.
- Read the guide for your bike. See how to ride an Electra Townie Go! or how to ride an Aventon Pace 4, plus our how to ride an e-bike basics.
- Practice first. Take a few laps in a flat, open spot away from cars before you head out.
- Save our number. Put (706) 405-3393 in your phone so you can reach us if anything comes up.
Delivery and pickup
Most renters have their bikes delivered. We bring them to you for free within 5 miles of our store.
Riding somewhere outside our delivery area? Pick up and drop off your bikes at our store for free. We're at 1101 Parkside Main, in the Publix shopping center next to Amici. Need to haul them? Rent our 2-bike hitch carrier.
When your bikes arrive, or when you pick them up, look each one over: squeeze both brakes, check the tires, and turn on the lights. If anything looks or feels wrong, tell us before you ride.
Charging and storing your bike
- Use only the charger we give you.
- Charge indoors on a hard surface, away from anything that could burn, and don't leave it charging unattended.
- Keep the battery dry. Don't ride through standing water, and never try to open or work on the battery or wiring.
- Keep the bike indoors or under cover when you're not riding.
- Use the storage bag for your phone, keys, wallet, and anything else you want to keep with you.
Your responsibility for the bike
The person who rents the bike is responsible for it from the time they get it until it's back with us, including any damage, loss, or theft. Only the renter and the riders named on the booking who have signed a waiver may ride it. Please don't lend it to anyone else.
What to do if...
The bike feels wrong
If the brakes feel soft, you hear a strange noise, the display shows an error code, or anything seems unsafe, stop riding and call us at (706) 405-3393. Don't ride it again until we've said it's safe.
You get a flat tire
Stop riding and call us. Riding on a flat can damage the wheel.
The battery runs low
Switch to the lowest assist level, or OFF, and skip the throttle. The bike still pedals like a regular bike, just heavier. If you're stuck, call us.
You crash or someone gets hurt
Get yourself and the bike out of traffic. If anyone is hurt, call 911. Then call us. Don't ride the bike again until we've checked it, even if it looks fine.
The battery smokes, gets hot, or smells unusual
Stop, get off, and move away from the bike. If anyone is in danger, call 911. Then call us.
The bike is lost or stolen
Call us right away. If it was stolen, report it to the local police too. The renter is responsible for a lost or stolen bike, so keep it with you or stored indoors.
You're running late
Give us a call as soon as you know.
Riding rules
- Wear your helmet, every ride.
- Only riders named on your booking who have signed a waiver may ride.
- One rider per bike. No passengers on the rack, the handlebars, or anywhere else.
- Ride with traffic, as far to the right as is safe, and no more than two riders side by side. You can ride on a paved shoulder, and you can move left to avoid hazards like debris, rough pavement, parked cars, or opening car doors.
- In a bike lane, ride in the same direction as traffic.
- Stay off sidewalks. Georgia law only allows sidewalk riding for kids 12 and under, and only where a local ordinance permits it.
- Stay off interstates. Bikes are generally not allowed on them.
- Follow speed limits, traffic signals, and signs. Use hand signals when you turn. For a right turn, you can stick your right arm straight out or raise your left arm.
- Keep at least one hand on the handlebars. Put things in your storage bag instead of carrying them.
- Turn your lights on at dusk and after dark. Georgia requires a white front light and a red rear light or reflector when riding at night.
- Stick to paved roads and paths, and give pedestrians room on shared paths.
- No phone use while riding, and no riding after drinking.

How do I work the bike?
