About Us

Okana Outdoors is a family-owned bike and outdoor shop in Greensboro, GA, run by Greg and Maricelly Sarkin. We sell, service, and rent bikes and e-bikes, and we help people around Lake Oconee spend more time outside.

Where the name comes from

The best summer we ever had was at Lake Oconee in 2015. We spent the week watching our kids enjoy being on the water, and it was the kind of week you don't want to end.

We bought a vacation home at the lake, and in 2020 we moved here full time and opened the store to bring together all the great things to do at the lake, from biking to boating and everything in between. We named it by combining our favorite place, Lake Oconee, with Ohana, the Hawaiian word for family, and came up with Okana.

• Bikes and e-bikes. We sell Trek, Electra, Aventon, and Segway, and we'll help you find the right fit for how you ride.
• Service and repair. We work on road, mountain, gravel, and e-bikes from every major brand, no matter where you bought it. See bike service
• Rentals. Bikes for paved riding, with free delivery within 5 miles and a 2-bike hitch carrier for road trips. See bike rentals

Made for life at the lake

A lot of our customers live in neighborhoods like Reynolds where golf carts stay on the course, so bikes and e-bikes are how people get to the clubhouse, the marina, and a friend's house. Others are here for a weekend and want to ride without hauling bikes from home. We set up our shop and our rentals around both.
