About the ride
Town Creek is run by the Oconee National Forest and has about 15 miles of trail in two loops. Loop A is for two-wheelers only, so you won't be sharing it with ATVs. Loop B is for ATVs and four-wheelers.
The trails are wooded and narrow, and a light electric bike is a great fit. From downtown Greensboro, head north on N East St, which turns into Penfield Rd, then follow the signs to the trailhead.

Good to know
- Closed when it's raining or the trail is wet. Riding wet trail damages it, and that's how trails get shut down for everyone.
- Closed during rifle deer season, roughly October 10 through January 1.
- Open only 10am to 4pm during archery deer season and spring turkey season.
- Side-by-sides, Jeeps and UTVs are not allowed.
- Set up the Recreation.gov app before you leave home. Cell service can be spotty out there.
- The $50 annual pass also covers the national forest OHV trails in the north Georgia mountains.
