About the ride
Standing Boy is one of the best mountain bike systems in west Georgia. The trails were built with private donations and thousands of volunteer hours, and they're run by Standing Boy, Inc., a nonprofit.
Beginners can start on Lil' Bit, a wide, rolling trail by the parking lot with optional skill features. From there, Primary Goods connects to the rest of the system. Lonely Hunter has the most climbing, and the rock rolls and drops around the system have ride-arounds.
It's about 45 minutes from Callaway Gardens, so it's an easy day trip if you're staying there.

Buy a parking pass on the Standing Boy website before you go. Cars without one may be towed.
Good to know
- A parking pass is required, and a Georgia State Parks pass doesn't count.
- Trails close after heavy rain. Check the website for status.
- Archery quota hunts happen in fall and spring, and the trails stay open. A youth turkey hunt in spring may close them.
- Start on Lil' Bit if you're new to mountain biking.
