About the ride
Paris Mountain is a small mountain that rises out of the flat land about 6 miles north of downtown Greenville. The state park has about 15 miles of trails shared by hikers and mountain bikers.
Sulphur Springs is an easy place to start, and the trails around Lake Placid are good for newer riders. The climbs up the ridge get steep and technical fast, and Pipsissewa is a local favorite for experienced riders.
Mountain bikes aren't allowed in the park on Saturdays, so plan your trip for another day. The park has a swimming area, camping, and boat rentals if the rest of the family isn't riding.
