About the ride

Hard Labor Creek is one of the biggest mountain bike trail systems close to Lake Oconee. The loops start from one parking lot and are built for different skill levels: a flat 1-mile beginner loop, a scenic blue loop along cascading creeks, a fast and flowy green loop, and a demanding red loop with climbs, roots, and rocks.

These are hand-cut trails, not smooth machine-built flow trails, so expect some chunk. The trails are directional and the direction changes by day, so check the sign at the trailhead before you roll out.

The trails close for 24 hours after a significant rain. Call the park at 706-557-3001 if the weather has been wet.
