About the ride
Dudley Park is where the Athens section of the Firefly Trail meets the North Oconee River Greenway, so one parking spot gives you two trails. The highlights are the long bridge over the North Oconee River and the rebuilt trestle over Trail Creek.
The greenway rolls along the river through shaded woods and parks, and the Firefly heads east toward Winterville. Both are easy, paved, and friendly for kids and casual riders. Grab lunch downtown afterward.
Dudley Park has restrooms, water, a picnic pavilion, and a bike repair station near the trail. Restrooms lock in the evening and fountains are shut off in cold months.
