About the ride
Cedar Springs has two one-way loops joined by a short two-way connector. The trails are mostly packed clay and dirt through hardwoods and pines, with some hilly sections and a stretch of bigger rocks.
Start on the upper loop from the trailhead on Curltail Rd (FS 505). If you have battery left, cross the road and the railroad tracks and add the lower loop.
Parsons Mountain is about 20 minutes away and takes the same pass, so it's easy to make a day of both.

From Greenwood, take SC 72 west toward Abbeville 5.8 miles to Beulah Baptist Church. Turn left on Beulah Church Rd for 1.7 miles, then right on Curltail Rd (FS 505) for 0.9 mile.
Good to know
- Call the Call Before You Haul hotline at (803) 561-4025 before you go.
- The trailhead has a self-pay kiosk and picnic tables, but no water.
- Wear bright colors during hunting season, and skip the first two weeks of deer season if you can.
- ATVs and dirt bikes only. No Jeeps or side-by-sides.
