About the ride
If you're headed to Callaway, bring your bikes. The Discovery Bike Trail winds through the woods and past the gardens and main attractions, including the Butterfly Center, the Discovery Center, and the chapel.
It's paved and gently rolling, and there are lots of places to hop on and off, so it works for kids, casual riders, and e-bikes. Ride the whole loop or just a section between stops.
Riding is included with Gardens admission, and admission comes with every resort stay. Callaway also rents bikes at the Virginia Hand Callaway Discovery Center: adult and kids' bikes are $20 with a helmet, with trailers, tag-alongs, and baby seats available. The last rental goes out at 3 pm and bikes are due back by 5 pm.

Good to know
- Gardens admission is required to ride. Resort guests get admission with their stay.
- Bring your own bikes to skip the rental line, or rent there.
- The trail is shared with walkers, so keep your speed down near attractions.
- The Man O' War Trail is just outside the Gardens if you want more paved miles.

Hours: Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm, Saturday 11am to 5pm, closed Sunday. Heading out early on a weekend? Stop by the day before so you have what you need.
