About the ride
The Big Creek Greenway is a 12-foot-wide concrete path that winds through the woods along Big Creek, from Big Creek Park in Roswell north through Alpharetta. It's mostly flat and shaded, and it's common to see herons, ducks, and deer.
It's a great family ride and an easy one on an e-bike or cruiser. Riders who want some dirt can jump on the beginner and intermediate mountain bike trail near the Alpharetta YMCA, or ride to the bigger mountain bike system at Big Creek Park on the south end.
Separate sections continue north into Forsyth County if you want more miles.
