About the ride
The Aska trail system sits off Aska Road less than 10 miles from downtown Blue Ridge. The trails climb to about 3,200 feet with views of the mountain ridges, then drop down toward Lake Blue Ridge.
Long Branch Loop is the easiest ride at about 2 miles. Flat Creek Loop and Stanley Gap are longer and harder, and Stanley Gap shares part of its route with the Benton MacKaye Trail. Look for yellow diamond blazes, which mark trails open to bikes.
Blue Ridge makes a great weekend base, and Ellijay's Bear Creek and Pinhoti trails are about 30 minutes away.

About 4.4 miles south of Blue Ridge on Aska Road. Other trailheads are at Stanley Gap and Shady Falls Road.
Good to know
- E-bikes are not allowed on non-motorized trails in the national forest.
- Bikes are allowed on trails with yellow diamond blazes.
- Hunting is allowed in the national forest. Wear bright colors in season.
- No restrooms or water at the trailheads.
