About the ride

Watson Mill Bridge is home to a 229-foot covered bridge built in 1885, and the bike trails run through the woods right beside it. The main 2.5-mile loop follows the north side of the South Fork River with views of the shoals, and the 1.5-mile Beaver Creek loop sits across the road.

The trails are about six feet wide, fully shaded, and designed for beginner and intermediate riders, though a few grades are steep. Bikes are not allowed on the hiking trails on the south side of the river or around the campground.

In summer, plan time to cool off in the river shoals below the bridge.
