A one-way, bike-only loop just outside Helen that was built as a race course. Old-school, rocky, and full of climbs.

About the ride
The bike trail at Unicoi State Park was designed as a race course and has hosted regional and national races. It's reserved for mountain bikers and runs one way.
Expect real climbs and a rocky, old-school feel, with fast descents as the payoff. It's only about 7 miles, but riders often say it rides bigger than that.
Downtown Helen is a couple of miles away, so it's easy to combine a ride with a trip to town. The park also has a lodge, cabins, and camping.

The bike trail lot is on a side road off GA 356, just east of the lodge entrance.
Good to know
- Stop at the lodge front desk for your bike permit and a trail map.
- The trail is one way. Watch the arrows at intersections.
- Not a good first mountain bike ride. Save it for when you have some trail experience.
