A Forest Service park on Lake Sinclair, just downstream from Lake Oconee, with a swimming beach, boat ramp, and campground. Open all year.

About the paddle
Lake Sinclair sits just below Wallace Dam, so it's the next lake down the Oconee River from Lake Oconee. The Forest Service recreation area has a sandy swimming beach, a boat ramp, picnic tables and grills, and a campground.
The beach is an easy launch for paddleboards and kayaks. Like Lake Oconee, Sinclair gets busy with boats on summer weekends, so mornings and weekdays are best.
The campground has tent sites and a few sites with water and electric, which makes it a good weekend paddling base.

From Eatonton, take GA 212 toward Milledgeville, turn left on Twin Bridges Rd, and follow it about a mile to the recreation area.
Good to know
- Pay with the Recreation.gov app on site.
- The same $25 annual Forest Pass works at Redlands, Swords, and Dyar Pasture on Lake Oconee.
- Stay out of the marked swimming area when you paddle.
- Bring bug spray in summer.
