About the ride
Blankets Creek opened in 2000 and is a partnership between Cherokee County, the Army Corps of Engineers, and SORBA Woodstock. Volunteers keep the trails in great shape.
It's known for variety. There's a flat, easy loop that works for kids, fast berms and switchbacks in the middle, the hand-cut, technical South Loop, and a one-way downhill jump line for experts. Most loops are color-coded so you can match them to your skill level.
The trailhead has a big parking lot, pavilions, and restrooms. It gets busy on weekends, so go early or ride on a weekday.
