About the ride
Allatoona Creek Park covers 1,450 acres on the edge of Lake Allatoona, and since its first trail opened in 2011 it has grown into the biggest purpose-built mountain bike system in Georgia. The trails are well marked and easy to navigate.
You can build anything from a quick beginner loop to an all-day ride. Turtle Back is the classic starter trail, and the system adds flow trails, downhill jump lines, and a pump track for riders who want air.
Trail direction changes by day, so check the signs before you roll out.

During hunting season, some trails are reached only from the Pitner Road Dog Park lot at 2450 Pitner Rd, Acworth.

- Many trails close for deer hunting season, usually starting in the fall. Check SORBA West Georgia for current status.
